Melissa Jodoin, LMSW

Melissa is committed to creating a trusting, respectful and engaging partnership that focuses on collaboration. It is her passion to empower others to promote healing mentally, physically and emotionally, find a healthy perception of themselves and strengthen relationships leading to a happier and healthier life. She is trained in a variety of modalities including but not limited to Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Management Training (parenting support), Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment Theory. She works with individuals and families across the lifespan and has many years experience working with both children and adults.

Lauren Keough, LMSW

Lauren works with families and individuals to foster a supportive and productive space of growth, trust, and healing. With almost a decade of experience working across multiple settings with middle and high school aged youth, families, and individuals, Lauren uses a variety of approaches to address client needs including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness and meditation. She is also experienced in working and advocating within the K-12 school system for students experiencing academic and behavioral concerns.

Nicole Talaga, LMSW

Nicole (she/her) believes in the importance of offering a safe, respectful, and affirming space for those she works with while they attempt to better understand their life experiences and authentic selves as well as take steps towards personal growth.  She views the therapeutic process as a collaboration between client and therapist.  Nicole has experience working with children and adolescents in multiple settings as well as adults.  She tailors her approach to each client in order to best engage and support them in working towards their goals drawing from modalities including Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Theory, Geek Therapy, harm reduction, play therapy, and mindfulness.

Nicole Colone, LMSW

Nicole works with adolescents, teens, and young adults experiencing difficulties in their daily life. She provides a safe, nonjudgmental environment where  the client and therapist can collaborate and  navigate a path towards healing and  success.  Nicole has experience working with adolescents and teens across multiple settings for 21 years.  She also has 16 years of experience advocating for students as a school social worker working largely with students with disabilities. Nicole is trained and implements various types of therapeutic intervention including but not limited to Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Strength Based, and Culturally Sensitive.

Laura Gerwatoski, LMSW

Laura has worked extensively with children and families who are experiencing grief and traumatic stress.  Laura’s therapeutic approach begins with creating a safe space to explore one’s experience with compassion.  Through Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Laura helps her clients understand how stressful life events can have a negative impact on feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.   With mutual trust and understanding, she engages each client in a myriad of strategies - including but not limited to -  mindfulness, relaxation and sensory interventions to foster hope, gain self-awareness and thrive.

Counseling Intern

Amber Samuel

Amber is currently a graduate student at the University of the Cumberlands working towards a Master of Art degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She will be graduating in December. Her counseling goal is to make a difference in the lives of others, creating a safe place to explore emotions, behaviors, and events of one’s life, through a person-centered approach.  She wishes to help individuals improve their quality of life by teaching them effective ways to deal with stress, as well as ways to bring the mind, body and soul into balance. She believes in the power of mindfulness and being present in the moment.  She is also a university professor and has a passion for psychoeducation, which is incorporated into her counseling sessions.
