Meet Allison Stoddard, LMSW (She/Her)
Hello, my name is Allison Stoddard and I commend you for taking the next steps in your therapeutic journey as I know this next chapter can be scary. Here are a few things about me before we begin so you can feel safe starting therapy with me.
I graduated from Wayne State University in 2014 and have been in practice for over 10 years. I have always wanted to help people since I was 17 years old and have never wavered from that goal. I am passionate in helping people work through life challenges and assisting them in achieving their goals in therapy through the therapeutic relationship. I have experience working with adult and geriatric populations in outpatient mental health, impatient psychiatric units, hospice, dialysis, medical social work, and The State of Michigan.
I offer empathic, and compassionate treatment for adults, and geriatric populations struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, cancer, social anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse disorders. My practice approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Humanistic, Strengths Based Approach, Harm Reduction, Talk Therapy, Mindfulness, and Person Center Approaches. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, friends and family, watching Detroit sports, crafting, working out, reading, being outdoors cooking, and baking. I am eager to begin working with you.
Accepts clients between the ages of 18-89.
