Carly is a LLMSW with Lyon Counseling Center.  She brings with her 10+ years of bedside nursing experience in various capacities including emergency departments, a burn center, trauma intensive care, and post-operative care.  These experiences provide Carly with a unique understanding of the healthcare system and a desire to work with clients to address the emotional and mental toll of chronic illness, trauma from previous injury or illness, and burnout related to caregivers (including parents), healthcare professionals, and first responders.  She is also interested in substance abuse disorders, especially for those working in high-liability professions.  Another area of interest is working with individuals from bi or multi-racial/cultural families, including inter-racial adoptees, that are struggling with identity issues.  Carly will use a variety of modalities, including EMDR, to individualize care and provide a warm, supportive, and judgement free environment for all.
