Meet Jess Cásarez, LLMSW She/Her
Jess believes that therapy only works if the client feels safe and empowered. Jess works to create an environment that is respectful, collaborative, and nonjudgmental so that clients are able to gain what they need to simply feel better and mentally healthier.
Jess is certified in choice theory/reality therapy but also utilizes other modalities such as CBT, ERP, Interpersonal Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. She also has advanced training in perinatal mental health, parent-child relationships, and exposure and response prevention to treat obsessive compulsive disorder.
Jess works with children and adults on issues of attachment and parenting, relationship/family struggles, anxiety (perfectionism, people-pleasing, overthinking, self-criticism, constant worry, etc. ), panic attacks, separation anxiety, OCD, and specific phobias.
When working with children, Jess integrates play including the use of video games and art. If an adult prefers an alternative to traditional talk therapy, Jess enjoys utilizing art with adults or doing walk and talk therapy at a local park.
Accepts clients ages 0 and up.
