Meet LaKeisha Blackwell, MA, LPC

Clinical Supervisor

LaKeisha has enjoyed working with people since she was young. She has worked in
various settings providing mental health support to clients. LaKeisha believes in the
importance of establishing trust, building rapport and nurturing a healthy therapeutic
relationship. She practices a person-centered approach, meaning that the focus is on
what is important to the client, in a non-judgmental safe space. LaKeisha works with
clients utilizing evidence-based practices, a strength-based approach, CBT,
mindfulness, self-reflection, positive affirmations and compassion.
LaKeisha works with adults to address an array of life experiences. Her specialties
include trauma, depression, self-esteem, anxiety, grief (of a person, place or thing, loss
of the familiar etc.), transitions (into adulthood, empty nest, new opportunities etc.) work
related stress and relationship issues). LaKeisha creatively includes sound, music,
poetry and writing into sessions, as well as encouragement and inspiration. She wishes
to walk with you, as you unravel the ball of yarn we often refer to as life. She considers
it a privilege to assist you with attaining, maintaining and sustaining healthy mental well-
being.
