Laura has worked extensively with children and families who are experiencing grief and traumatic stress.  Laura’s therapeutic approach begins with creating a safe space to explore one’s experience with compassion.  Through Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Laura helps her clients understand how stressful life events can have a negative impact on feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.   With mutual trust and understanding, she engages each client in a myriad of strategies – including but not limited to –  mindfulness, relaxation and sensory interventions to foster hope, gain self-awareness and thrive.
